Good to see the old fella again. Diesel with a stick. (and a roof rack..)
The cheerful little Volkswagen stalks the unsuspecting and menacing Taurus cruiser.
"look at me! I'm not doing anything stupid at all!"

If I can pull the steelies off for the summer, yeah, that would be great... as it usually rusts a bit and needs some light grinding to take the rust off.

Yeah, I have had mine get stuck before also. I yanked and yanked and yanked and hammered and eventually gave up. No point pulling the car off the jack onto myself to save $30.

Looks great and clean! 04? 05? My dad had a 2000 GLS, gave it to my mom and then my sister. It had 340 000 kms last time I checked but its starting to bite the dust lol.

I applied anti-seize grease in the fall to see if it comes unstuck this year.
On a related note, a friend's winter beater pretty much got his wheel welded onto the rear drum and hub. Tried pulling it off last August to check for a scraping noise coming from the area, no luck either, and the tires are starting to dry up.

Only 1 solution for that. Get it up on a proper lift...and bang with a rubber mallet until the cows come home. No magic trick can fix that.

It's an '04 TDI Sport Edition with about 150,000 KM on the clock. Same owner since 2003, aka my father, but it's usually in the hands of my brother.

I totally approve - but of course, I'm biased. ('03 1.8T here :) )
